The Middle East is a region where vehicle is king and fuel is inexpensive, often leaving little reward to discover more environmentally-friendly methods of moving.
But this year, as demonstrations throughout the Middle East have risen the rate of oil, the problem of finding alternative sources of fuel has entered sharp focus.
In an area that has among the highest carbon footprints worldwide, one business is benefiting from the growing pressure to discover alternatives to oil. It's set up the Middle East's first scheme to recycle cooking oil into biodiesel. It's proving profitable too, already their client-list consists of McDonald's.
